I came across this story in Archaeology Abstracts which talks about how Jewish and Muslim children as well as adults are coming together to help archaeologists on a dig. It just pleases my heart to hear some positive stories from this part of the world. It is a beautiful quality in children to be void of prejudices until they are taught and hopefully this project does help the community take pride in their history and come together. I once heard it is better for us to celebrate our diversity and learn from one another. I recently had a baby girl who will be 9 months old this weekend. She is American born, her father is from Yemen and Muslim. I am six generations American and used to study Christianity but my father's side of the family is Jewish. Anyway I wanted to share this article for those who are also interested in peace and unity. to read the article click here:
Welcome to my blog. I am a newbie to blogging and will be writing about my experiences as an artist, female, new mom and person who loves dogs and just want to share thoughts and tidbits as I sometimes find that the curious connections of coincidence or even fleeting thoughts and oddities are intriguing.

"It's Elementary My Dear Watson"
Sherlock Holmes
The recent film starring Robert Downey Jr, and Jude Law was action packed and enjoyable. It was refereshing to see a new take on the classic. I wondered if the addiction issues of Holmes would hit to close to home for Robert. However I felt he did a good job of this modern interpretation. The film had me on the edge of my seat. Watson seemed to be a stronger character in this version which was a nice twist. I am inclined to appreciate female heros and therefore enjoyed the female leads in this movie as well.
